QUILTED PLAID JACKET
LOCATION: FORT WORTH • DECEMBER 16, 2016
I can’t believe Christmas is a little over a week away (9 days!). I’ve been wrapping up a bunch of work and end of year projects. I’m looking forward to holiday vacation, having time off from work and spending time with my with my family for a few days the week of Christmas. We just love this time of year and have had the Christmas music playing non stop with sugar cookie candles burning simultaneously. I’ve almost wrapped up my Christmas shopping (I know, I’m such a procrastinator!) As of lately I’ve been wearing lots of red, holiday plaid and feeling festive is undoubtably a favorite of mine this time of year. I’ve posted a couple holiday looks, here, here, here and here. So when I saw this quilted plaid jacket I knew it would fit right in with my holiday festive attire.
The color combo makes this quilted plaid jacket perfect for the holiday season but also a great piece that can be worn long after the holiday season. The reds, green and blues tend to add to the holiday feel but the yellow and white tones bring it back to a classic and everyday plaid that can be worn many different ways and with multiple looks for whatever the occasion. You can find that same plaid color combo in this skirt, these pants and this adorable top. I wore this striped turtleneck last here with a classic cape that is the perfect timeless look.
As one of my gifts to myself I snagged these black booties and they have become the most perfect black booties I own. The heel is just high enough to add a slight boost but low enough to walk all day without any issues. They also come in this gorgeous velvet blush shade and burgundy suede for a pretty punch of color.
