Since I usually like to keep my beauty look natural and simple, Valentine’s day is the perfect excuse to bring out a bit of color, sparkle or a bold hue. I love all the feminine color tones that pop up around Valentine’s day from the pinks, purples to classic red. I’ve chosen subtle shades that keep the look classic while adding glam. To start the look off I added a rich purple shade to my nails. I love Lancome’s ‘Vernis is Love‘ polish in Midnight Rose, is not the typical red or pink and it has a fun, flirty feel to it.
After my nails dried I started with a primer. I used Lancome’s LA Base pore eraser, this smooths out my skin and allows my foundation to blend in perfectly. I followed this step with Lancome’s Teint Idole foundation stick in “buff” and swirled it into my skin with the #26 foundation brush.
After that, I’ll apply a base layer of the ‘Color Design’ Shadow palette in Mauve Cherie onto my eyelid to allow all the shadows to blend seamlessly. Once that’s applied I’ll tap my brush in the middle lilac shade and focus on the lid. Next, I apply the darker purple shade to the crease of my eyelid and blend it out completely before popping the metallic gold shade in the corners of my eye to brighten them up. Lastly for shadow I’ll smudge the tiniest amount of the charcoal shade under my lower lash line to add a subtle smokey effect. This gorgeous palette is great for all eye colors and has just the right amount of shimmer. I’m also loving Sienna Sultry palette and the Rose Coquette palette.
Next, I’ll dust a small amount of Lancome’s Blush Subtil blush & highlight palette in Rum Raisin to the apples of my cheeks for a soft glow and dust on the bronzer shade around my forehead and cheeks. Following a bronzed glow I’ll highlight the top of my cheek bones, nose and my cupid’s bow.
Next, I’ll add liner along my top and bottom lash line with the Artliner Precision Point liquid liner in Noir and top off my lashes with Hypnôse Drama to play up my eyes.
Lastly, I’ll top off the look with a fun flirty lip color like this Lancome ‘L’ Absolu Rouge’ in Le Magenta that adds a pop of fuchsia, and an extra glam factor to this overall beauty look.
I love the subtle glam that all these Lancôme products helped create for my flirty fun Valentine’s look.
I’ve always loved changing up my look and adding in colorful and bold hues.
